Lanterns

The night sky is an inkwell
An army of stars
and the cadence of the night
ignite!
The sober glow of electric hearts.
Time hangs in syllables.
Shadows palpable and living;
yet – we’re alone.
Like Lighthouses.
The moon: our silent prophet.

Shade to shade.
Fixity and it’s false fluoresce
The chastening hue;
Fades – into firmament.
Weight of the moonlight
befell, like fate;
in boundless speeds.
Into folding twilight.
